Buddhist Peace Fellowship tends the sacred edge where spiritual practice meets movement organizing, cultivating inner peace as the ground for transformation and the liberation of all beings.

Drawing on the traditions of Engaged Buddhism, BPF strengthens the inherent connections between movement organizing and spiritual practice.

Our programs are led by, and accountable to, Black, Indigenous, and Asian heritage Buddhists—centering the leadership and wisdom of BIPOC trans, Two-Spirit, and gender-expansive organizers, healers, and movement leaders.

2024 Community Report

Our 2024 report is here. It’s more than numbers—it’s a testament to what we built in a year of rupture and repair. Programs, prayers, political clarity. Ancestors guiding us forward.

"The Refuge Circles gave me community, alignment, and possibility. Even though so many of us didn't know each other and never even shared words, there was a sense of kinship. We had chosen to be here. Many faces or names showed up day after day to do the sacred work of touching in and reaching out - finding our hearts and calling our representatives. It was a deep felt-sense, even through virtual space.

Many of us have experienced disillusionment with Buddhist institutions and teachers who segregate the spiritual from the political, especially with regards to the genocide in Palestine. But we knew we could find refuge at Buddhist Peace Fellowship."
