Volunteer Opportunities
What does it mean to be a Buddhist Peace
Fellowship Prison Program volunteer? Although there are a
lot of different tasks, the essence of our work
is simple: everyone has Buddha nature, every place is sacred,
and every act is sacred practice. Practically speaking, that
means licking a stamp, copying prison packets, or hauling
boxes off the bookshelves are genuinely as important as answering
letters, writing books, or teaching meditation.
There are several ways to help out as a volunteer
with BPF's Prison Program. Currently, we can only use volunteers
at our Berkeley, California office.
• Steady, ongoing commitment to a
set number of hours each week
• Help out occasionally on special projects that you're
interested in
• Join in our Turning Wheel mailing parties

task details list for more details on specific tasks you
can help us with.
