Sitting in Peace
Saturdays, 12 noon in the north-east corner of George Square.
We gather on a small patch of grass and lay out the words
"Sitting in Peace", black letters on a white card,
in a circle on the ground. We light a candle, set it in the
centre of the circle and sit in silence for half an hour.
We believe our collective practice makes a difference, however
small each of us may feel.

Interfaith Vigil for Peace
Fridays, noon - 1:00 pm
Place: intersection of Queen and Yonge Streets (in February)
We meet at a location in Downtown Toronto at noon on Fridays
and hand out leaflets about choosing dialogue and non-violence.
We also enjoy songs from different faith traditions and have
been involved in connecting people who may not have the support
within their own particular community in terms of choosing
non-violence instead of war. The location will change in March
so that we can be in different parts of the city.
The website with information about the vigil is the Toronto
Faith Action Network http://www.geocities.com/actionfaith
Toronto Buddhist Peace Fellowship members have been involved
in helping to organize and do outreach. http://www.geocities.com/torbpf
