Collaboration

making alliances for peace and justice

Buddhist Peace Fellowship supports and channels action for peace and justice, particularly in the areas of Peace, Buddhist Asia, and Prison Advocacy.  We work collaboratively – adding our voice, energy, presence, and perspective to important struggles.  We advance peace and justice for everyone and everything by joining coalitions and being an incubator for important projects.

Recently we have collaborated with the Fellowship of Reconciliation to establish a Dharma in Action Fellowship (DIAF) position on their peace team in a Colombian war zone.  We have worked with the Dar Papaya Project to produce a beautiful film documenting youth working for peace and against violence in Colombia and the US.

Through Fiscal Sponsorship we support the direct service work of many small organizations including:

Dhamma Moli – providing shelter and education to Nepali girls at risk for human-trafficking

Tibetan Refugee Children’s Project – funding the education of Tibetan children

Green Vietnam – demonstrating and teaching sustainable agriculture in Vietnam

Dharma Companions – offering Dharma materials and guidance to prisoners in the U.S.
